Get creative with our free printable Christmas ornaments! From florals to snowflakes, these vintage designs add a unique touch to your holiday decor.
Every Christmas, I can’t resist making handmade ornaments to add a bit of vintage charm and personality to my decor. Over the years, I’ve crafted all sorts of unique pieces, like my Alice in Wonderland baubles—always a hit for a touch of whimsy and my butterfly tin can ornaments, perfect for a nature look. I’ve also experimented with decoupage clay ornaments, combining delicate vintage images with a natural, handcrafted feel.
Each year, I try something a little different, and this time around, I’m excited to share these free printable Christmas ornaments! They’re simple house-shaped decorations featuring some of my favourite vintage patterns—think William Morris florals, Japanese prints, Scandinavian Christmas cards, and fun, festive designs like Christmas botanicals and graphic snowflakes.
They’re easy to make, and with a beaded loop and tassel, they’ll bring that perfect handmade, old-fashioned holiday charm to your Christmas tree.

Step-by-Step Tutorial
Step 1. Download and Print
First, grab your free printable paper ornament templates from Pictureboxblue. These come in PDF format and feature a simple house-shaped net design. I recommend using card stock or matte photo paper (about 160 gms) to make your ornaments sturdy enough to hang beautifully.
Step 2. Cut Out the Ornament Template
Once printed, carefully cut out the house-shaped template. Cut along the outline of the net shape.
Step 3. Fold and Glue
Follow the square pictures to fold your house shape, pressing firmly to make the edges crisp. Also, fold the grey tabs. Apply glue along the tabs and press each edge together to create a 3D house shape.
Let everything dry completely before moving to the next step. You’ll be amazed at how these retro Christmas ornaments start coming together!
Step 4. Add a Beaded Hanging Loop and Tassel
To make these ornaments extra special, I like adding a beaded hanging loop at the top of the ornament and a tassel at the bottom. This small detail gives them a festive touch and brings out the colours in each vintage print.
Thread assorted beads onto the hanging twine and hot glue them to the top of the ornament. Then, glue a tassel at the bottom.
Step 5. Decorate Your Tree with Handmade Ornaments
Once your ornaments are ready, hang them on your tree to add that special holiday cheer! These ornaments also make lovely gifts, or you can use them to decorate gift boxes for a unique Christmas touch.
